Center Caps Badges for Image Wheels

TL;DR if you order direct from Caterham, make it big

When I got the Image Wheels, I knew they had been spec'ed without any badges on the hub caps. My intent was to find compatible official Caterham emblems or complete caps.

On the front-facing side, centre bores are exactly 60mm in diameter. I wanted to source the hub caps used on the 13" Apollo and 15" Orcus wheels, but a they are too large. A quick check with the dealer confirmed the dimensions I found on a Japanese web shop (that mentions 63mm).

The next best thing is to retain the Image caps and find 50mm adhesive emblems to fit them. Caterham actually sell the stickers used on their 15" wheels, those are 50mm, and have the same design as the original Juno wheels of the 170.

As I was not 100% confident that 50mm would really fit well, I did 3D-print a mock domed 50mm emblem, which did confirm that the fit was perfect before placing an order for the real things.

At £6.90 a piece they're not cheap, but wait, there's more. Once the £28 order placed with a full commitment of your part, you wait for a shipment quote, and have actually no way to retract once the £50 FedEx Express proposal is shown to you. That's already 96€. Then come the VAT of 21% and (only) 5€ brokerage fee. All in all, I have paid 125€ for 4 stickers. Of which about 75€ for shipping including the brokerage and VAT on the shipping. The quote literally mentioned 8 grams of goods. For once I didn't even feel like weighing that upon reception. The lesson is that the shipping of an empty envelope is already a 75€ pill to swallow.

On the other hand, it was delivered overnight, you wouldn't expect less for that kind of money.

Other options did include random-ish badges and plain ugly fake-o Seven emblems found on eBay, as well as a choice of good looking 60mm caps from AliExpress, with a large choice of 45mm decals to fit them -but most were copies of famous JDM wheels brands-.
