Static Rally - Looking back at Season 4

As summed up in the post that covered the Lotus & Caterham edition, «"Static Rally" is a bi-monthly meetup of oldtimers that takes place in Wavre. This for a total of 12 times between April and October. It's organized by Nicolas supported by family and friends, as well as a few welcome sponsors. It's completely free. A parking lot and entire street of a business park are privatized for the morning.»

Over the 12 events, I did attend 7. Not bad knowing that Wavre is over 100km from home. I was just not aware before the 3rd 'episode' of the year, didn't feel like going for weather concerns once in May and October, and missed one in August because we were on holiday.

Here are all the photos showing my 170, and most of those with the other Sevens. They were all scraped from the Static Rally Facebook page, credit where credit is due : vonlonteer photographers cover the event twice a month and do a great job.

Thanks again to Nico and all the team. Organizing 12 events a year is no small feat. 

Episode 3 (May 5th) : I met Pascal and Jean-Marc for the first time

 

Episode 5 (June 2nd) : The Sevens were spread all around the parking lot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯    We probably had beer and french fries. I thought it would be fun to park the Caterhams on each side of the Hummer. The joke was not lost on Jean-Pierre who painted a watercolor to keep that memory forever, thanks again.

Episode 6 (June 16th) : Very poor weather, I had to put the shower cap on. Philippe was there with his yellow Tiger 6. My friend Gérald, a Lotus Elise owner, came with his son and we had beer and fries. I came back topless under some rain, cold to the bones.

Episode 8 (August 17th): Back from holiday, overcast but warm-ish. I brought my girlfriend so she can have a feel of the place. Pascal was there with his Caterham, Philippe and the Tiger 6, Laurent with the Westfield. A lot of yellow.

Episode 9 (September 1st) : Was the one dedicated to Lotus & Caterham cars covered in this previous post. I'll throw some 'official' pictures down here anyway. First time meeting Christophe there, you would have thought we were avoiding each other as we never came to Wavre at the same time.

Episode 10 (September 15th) : Little attendance despite a nice and warm weather, but those weeks had been awful overall. Jean-Marc had to replace his cylinder head gasket and came with the 2CV instead.

 

And finally Episode 12 to close the year (October 20th) : the theme was the WW2 vehicles, we got 3 Jeeps. But a good attendance from the Seven gang.
